Kappa Chi is a local fraternity at Winona State. Local means we answer to ourselves and to the men who came before us, not to a national office three states away. Somewhere between four and five hundred men have been initiated here since 1990.

Two different people usually land on this page, so here are both doors.

Which one are you

For brothers

The chapter is still here, still taking ten or fifteen men a year, and since 2023 it owns the Huff–Lamberton House outright — the whole story of that house is here, including the parts the house itself had wrong.

We keep a roster by initiation year going back to the beginning. It is a list, not yet a network. We are building the second thing out of the first, and we would rather say that plainly than put up a page pretending it already works.

So the ask is small: tell us where you are. Your year, where you landed, and whether you want to hear from us. That is the whole thing.

And the promise attached to it — no brother's name goes on a public page without his say-so. There is no directory here and we are not publishing one. What you send reaches the fraternity, and stops there.

What we're building

A living archive and a way for brothers to find each other again. The archive is real and growing — the founding years, the split, the house, the thirty-year reunion. The network side is honest work in progress, and the roster is the seed of it.

If you want to be part of how that gets built rather than just hearing about it later, say so when you write. There is more to do than there are people doing it.
